Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. seeks an experienced Process Engineer to design chemical, biochemical, or petroleum process systems.

You will work under general supervision and coordinate with designers to develop efficient, safe, and code-compliant designs for client projects. The ideal candidate holds a BS or MS in engineering from an accredited university, 3+ years of relevant experience, and PE or CPIP is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.
3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.
Promotes safety culture and adheres to codes and client requirements.
Proficient with CAD/PROCESS software and design documentation.

Responsibilities

Promoting the culture of working safely and applying safety related concepts into process design.
Establishing design criteria, incorporating client requirements, estimate and/or scope basis and design basis meeting standards and codes.
Developing conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient approaches.
Producing detail design calculations and drawings for the project.
Reviewing vendor information and fabrication drawings for conformance.
Mentoring less experienced process engineers and coordinating with designers.
Traveling for client presentations and project tasks as needed.
Providing construction support and fieldwork to gather process information.
