Job summary

Hargrove EPC is seeking a highly driven process design engineer to join its site team in Saraland, AL. The role involves leading cross-functional teams to tackle refinery process issues, applying lean and quality practices to develop engineered solutions.

You will liaise between engineering and execution groups, delivering Basis of Design documents and coordinating with capital projects to ensure safe, cost-effective design outcomes. 3+ years of industrial experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant industrial chemical/petroleum process design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support cross-functional teams to address process design problems.
• Apply lean manufacturing and quality management methods to improve processes.
• Develop Basis of Design documents and handover to project groups.
• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs, and review vendor drawings for accuracy.
• Interface with process safety to ensure safe design and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors across stages of project development.
• Summarize data, compare design options, and justify recommendations.
