Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide technical direction and total delivery of process engineering on large capital projects. You will supervise engineers and designers, develop design criteria, and ensure compliance with safety and client requirements.

Ideal candidates have extensive process design experience, strong project controls, and the ability to mentor teammates while delivering high-quality studies, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in chemical/biochemical/petroleum process design engineering.
• Ability to train others in process safety and site safety requirements.
• Strong knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and piping specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver process engineering scope on time and within budget.
• Review and approve all process engineering deliverables and estimates.
• Develop design criteria, cost studies, and conceptual layouts for capital projects.
• Plan, organize and communicate project plans to team, leadership, and clients.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and participate in pre-bid and client meetings.
• Travel as required for client presentations and site meetings.
