Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. seeks an engineer to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. You will apply engineering methods to analyze processes, identify root causes, and implement countermeasures to improve SQDCM metrics.

Collaborating with multiple engineering groups, you will manage mass production projects, develop processes from drawings, and work with production teams to meet targets for quality, delivery, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent related experience.
• 0–6 years relevant experience; intern or co-op acceptable (1–2 terms).
• Strong continuous improvement mindset; MS Office; problem solving/decision making; project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes and countermeasures for complex problems.
• Data analysis for identification of improvement activities.
• Complete studies (project/plant characteristic impacts).
• Collaborate with other engineering groups to develop solutions and implement countermeasures.
• Manage projects (Mass production).
• Develop processes from drawing.
• Work with production team to understand new processes.
• Coordinate with counterparts in other NA plants to understand change points.
• Data analysis/trend identification.
• Maintain/achieve production targets (budgets/efficiency/quality/delivery).
