Job summary

GrafTech International seeks a Process Engineer to provide technical leadership ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-efficient operation of the manufacturing process. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Quality, and Engineering to identify losses, improve performance, and boost production capability.

The role requires field presence, data analysis, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration to implement sustained improvements and updated practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Petroleum preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present clearly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic data tools and reporting experience.
• Understanding and use of Historian type programs (OSIsoft PI).
• Proven ability to manage programs with minimal supervision and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain process reporting tools, dashboards, and improvement tracking systems.
• Design and manage quality assurance systems, including ISO 9000 compliance and measurement system analysis.
• Track key process variables and respond to deviations.
• Assist in process and financial models for decision-making.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement countermeasures.
• Ensure data integrity of process and product databases; enhance traceability.
• Verify sampling procedures, identification, and traceability.
• Audit standard work and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Train cross-functional teams on best practices and local standards.
• Provide process engineering input during project scoping and design phases.
