Job summary

Kosmos is seeking a Process Engineer for our United States manufacturing facility. You will lead process optimization studies, plant trials, and evaluations of existing chemical processes to improve safety, quality, production, and cost.

You will develop design recommendations, support capital projects, perform PHA activities, and provide technical leadership. A BS in Chemical Engineering and 1–5 years of experience are preferred; knowledge of TiCl4/TiO2 manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 1–5 years of Process Engineering or similar experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform process optimization studies, plant trials, and evaluations of existing chemical manufacturing processes.
• Develop process design recommendations and engineering scope for process improvements and capital projects.
• Support investigations and troubleshooting of process equipment and operations.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and other Process Safety activities.
• Prepare calculations, technical documentation, and design information for projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and technicians.
