Kosmos in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Process Engineer to drive process optimization and support capital projects in a chemical manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, plant trials, and developing design recommendations while collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams. A BS in Chemical Engineering and 1–5 years of experience are preferred, with safety and reliability as core priorities.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 1–5 years of Process Engineering or similar experience in manufacturing.
• Experience supporting chemical manufacturing processes and process equipment.
• Ability to apply chemical engineering principles to troubleshoot, optimize, and design processes.
• Knowledge of Process Safety principles and participation in PHA activities preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work across cross-functional plant teams and communicate effectively.
• Experience with TiCl4 and TiO2 manufacturing is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform process optimization studies, plant trials, and technical evaluations of existing chemical manufacturing processes.
• Develop process design recommendations and engineering scope for process improvements and capital projects.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and other Process Safety activities.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical documentation, and design information for projects.
