Job summary

PSI is seeking a Process Engineer for a direct-hire role in a large manufacturing plant in Ohio. You will optimize chemical processes, support capital projects, and lead technical efforts across Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering.

The role includes PHA participation and delivering design recommendations. Required are a BS in Chemical Engineering and 1–5 years of related experience, with strong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• 1–5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes and equipment.
• Ability to apply chemical engineering principles to troubleshoot and optimize.
• Experience evaluating process design scopes for new or existing processes.
• Knowledge of Process Safety principles; PHA experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze operating problems, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; works well with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform process optimization studies, plant trials, and technical evaluations.
• Develop process design recommendations for improvements and capital projects.
• Support capital projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in PHA and other Process Safety activities.
• Prepare engineering calculations and design information deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and technicians.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
