Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Apply process improvement methodologies and principles to align and improve enterprise-level processes.
• Evaluate Systems Engineering and Software Engineering processes to resolve issues with workflows, organizational structure, alignment, and planning.
• Lead process improvement initiatives utilizing CMM/CMMI or similar models.
• Ensure processes are established and documented to institutionalize sound systems and software engineering practices.
• Interpret and promote the adoption of process improvement best practices.

Assessment & Strategy

• Develop plans for informal and formal process assessments.
• Schedule, coordinate, and lead assessment teams in conducting process evaluations.
• Analyze assessment results, assess progress, report findings, and define improvement strategies and lessons learned.
• Work closely with software and systems engineering teams to evaluate organizational readiness for assessments.
• Ensure assessment findings serve as the foundation for actionable improvement plans.

Collaboration & Training

• Facilitate project teams in achieving activities and objectives.
• Act as a key coordinator between multiple project teams to maintain enterprise-wide engineering integration.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer to project teams through group facilitation, interviewing, and training.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops focused on process improvement.

IT Systems Support & Operations

• Configure and manage UNIX, Windows, or other applicable operating systems, including loading OS software, configuring network components, and implementing performance enhancements.
• Provide in-depth troubleshooting for IT systems and support dispatch system/hardware issue resolution.
• Deliver detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers regarding escalated tickets.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of process improvement experience on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Specialized Experience: At least 5 years (within the last 10 years) in:
  • Facilitation, training, and methodology development/evaluation.
  • Process engineering across all acquisition phases.
  • Identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, and organizational development.
  • Activity/data modeling or information system development methods.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Education from an accredited college or university.
• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph.
