Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes across Lewiston, Pullman, or West Lafayette. You will implement improvements, analyze data, and support daily operations to boost efficiency and quality.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 2 years in process development, and the ability to lead teams, influence others, and manage projects. Strong statistical skills and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years' experience in process development in a world class manufacturing company.
  • Ability to lead cross functional team.
  • Ability to influence others and reach consensus.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of statistics as applied to process capability measurements.
  • Effective writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Team oriented collaboration.
  • Background check satisfactory to SEL.
  • Negative drug test results.

Responsibilities

Job description

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for someone to join our Manufacturing Operations team as a Process Engineer in one of three locations: Lewiston, ID; Pullman, WA; or West Lafayette, IN .

As a Process Engineer, you will identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, helping to increase efficiency, quality, and safety across operations. You will work closely with production and other teams to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and support day-to-day manufacturing activities. You will also use data and continuous improvement principles to help drive better performance and reliable results.

A typical day as a Process Engineer might include:
  • Providing engineering support in multiple areas of manufacturing.
  • Specifying, developing, justifying, implementing, and sustaining assembly equipment and materials.
  • Improving quality, yield, efficiency, and capacity of processes in accordance with strategic objectives.
