Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for someone to join our Process Engineering team in Manufacturing Operations as a Process Engineering Technician I in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Must be willing and able to travel during the first 4-6 months of employment for training, totaling approximately 8-12 weeks in two-week increments.
As a Process Engineering Technician I, you’ll provide immediate technical support to manufacturing and clarify production process specification requirements to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Process Engineering and Maintenance teams focus on optimizing manufacturing performance by improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and increasing operational efficiency.
Working closely with engineers, technicians, and operators, they support process improvement, root cause analysis, and preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives that help Manufacturing Operations make informed decisions and solve problems proactively.
SEL designs, manufactures, and supports products and systems that protect, monitor, control, and automate electric power systems.
Our technologies help detect faults, prevent equipment damage, and reduce the impact of power outages.

Pay Range: $32.88 – $48.60 per hour (plus $3.00/hr 2nd shift differential)
Process Engineering Technician I: $32.88 – $48.60 per hour
Process Engineering Technician II: $35.83 – $52.94 per hour
Process Engineering Technician III: $40.50 – $59.85 per hour
