Job summary

VIVA USA Inc is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze operations and develop procedures for production, service, test and quality groups. You will plan, conduct or coordinate complex engineering activities across disciplines and manage projects with significant impact to the company.

Responsibilities include defining the production phase sequence to meet cost and equipment budgets, ensuring optimal methods, cycle times, and equipment performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SAP (or equivalent ERP) systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma and 5S methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve cost and equipment investment targets.
  • Ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials in support of production targets.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities, leading projects to meet time, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Approve the design for processes developed internally or externally and perform final tests.

Job description

Process Engineering consists of the analysis of operations and the development of procedures and processes to be used by various groups such as production, service , test, and quality. Plan, conduct or coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Conduct or coordinate complex analyses and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations. Execute advanced technical studies, their potential application and the resolution of complex problems. Manage or coordinate engineering projects of substantial impact to the company. Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

Core responsibilities
  • Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.
  • Ensures appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.
  • Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Ensures the production process complies with the project targets.
  • Approves the design for processes developed internally or externally and performs final tests with respect to the project.
  • Provides support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
  • Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
  • Ensures appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets; Ensures the production process complies with the project targets.
  • Identifies and recommend improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements; Approves the design for processes developed internally or externally and performs final tests with respect to the project.
