Alliance Laundry Systems LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to drive manufacturing process improvements on the production floor. You will evaluate equipment, implement standards, and coordinate Kaizen events to reduce scrap and cycle times.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 4–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, and strong communication. This is a full-time on-site position in Manitowoc, WI with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on, production-floor manufacturing experience required.
  • Comfortable leading projects and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving CI environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, able to document complex process interactions.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Examine equipment, processes, operations and procedures to identify safety, quality, throughput, and cost improvements.
  • Implement changes and modify operation standards.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.
  • Select and implement manufacturing processes to produce at a competitive cost.
  • Identify and optimize current and new manufacturing processes using continuous improvement.
  • Work with production and maintenance to keep equipment in like-new condition.
  • Perform Time Studies and develop Visual Work Instructions as needed.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot processes.

Job description

Overview

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering matters related to planning, managing and maintaining production methods, finishing processes and equipment. You will collaborate with colleagues in other engineering functions as well as production, quality, purchasing, planning and maintenance. You will work on projects that result in a safer work environment, a higher quality product, a more efficient process, and a positive impact on the company's bottom line.

Responsibilities
  • Examine equipment, processes, operations, and procedures to identify improvement opportunities in areas of safety, quality, throughput, and cost
  • Implement changes and modify operation standards
  • Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases
  • Select & implement suitable manufacturing processes and apply modern organizational principles to make products at a competitive cost
  • Identify & optimize current and new manufacturing processes using continuous improvement
  • Work closely with production and maintenance to ensure equipment is operating in a like-new condition
  • Perform Time Studies
  • Process Development — may include Visual Work Instructions
  • Production support and process troubleshooting
  • Cost (scrap, rework, cycle time, etc.) reduction
  • Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures
  • Project coordination and daily troubleshooting
  • Participate in Kaizen events
Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or combined related experience required
  • 4–5 years of experience in manufacturing process improvement or industrial processes
  • Hands-on, production-floor manufacturing experience required — this is a floor-facing role, not a lab, policy, or purely analytical position
  • Comfortable leading projects and managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-moving continuous improvement environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and document complex process interactions
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have, not required):
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis — good to have, but not required
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling/CAD software (any platform — e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar) a plus
