We are seeking a hands‑on Process Engineer to evaluate, improve, and develop manufacturing processes. This role focuses on increasing efficiency, reducing costs, improving quality, and implementing best practices across production.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) policies; report hazards, near‑misses, and incidents.
- Develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes to improve throughput, yield, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Improve process performance including cycle time, scrap reduction, downtime, and changeovers.
- Create and maintain process documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process flows, acceptance criteria).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, SMED, Kaizen, single‑piece flow).
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Work with equipment vendors and internal teams to develop and implement cost‑effective manufacturing solutions.
- Collect and analyze production data; track KPIs and present findings to drive improvements.
- Support maintenance and reliability efforts to improve equipment uptime and performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering.
- Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment (high‑volume production preferred).
- Plastics and/or rubber manufacturing experience is a plus. Extrusion and/or molding experience is a strong plus.
- Experience in defense, automotive, and/or aerospace manufacturing environments is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and KPI‑driven environments.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial) but not required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Salary and Benefits
Salary $75,000 - $95,000 plus $ bonus, 401k, and additional benefits.
