Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Process Engineer to drive process discovery, documentation and improvement across business and technology initiatives. You will model current and future processes using BPMN, map data flows, and collaborate with automation and AI teams to design scalable solutions.

The role requires partnering with stakeholders, documenting requirements, and tracking performance metrics to boost operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• 1 year of experience in process improvement, business analysis, operations, or process engineering
• Foundational knowledge of business process mapping and BPMN or similar standards
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement knowledge
• Knowledge of automation platforms and emerging AI capabilities
• Ability to document business and technical requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support process discovery and requirements gathering across business, technology, automation, and AI initiatives
• Document processes, decision points, data flows, system interactions, inputs/outputs, and controls
• Create current and future-state process models using BPMN and value stream mapping
• Collaborate with stakeholders, automation engineers, and data/tech teams to identify optimization opportunities
• Document process logic, business rules, data requirements and workflow dependencies for automation
• Define, track and report process performance metrics and KPIs
• Manage process artifacts, repositories, templates, and governance documentation
• Track process engineering requests, priorities, dependencies, and follow-ups
• Foster partnerships across business, technology, and automation teams for transformation
• Stay updated on process engineering methodologies, automation platforms, and AI technologies
