Job summary

10x Genomics Inc. is seeking a talented Scientist for the Process Development team to advance new chemistries and production processes.

You will work across Chemistry, Microfluidics, Custom Plastic Consumables, and Assay Development to develop, validate, and transfer processes for manufacturing reagents and consumables. The role emphasizes hands-on development, scale-up, and transfer to manufacturing or OEM vendors, with strong collaboration and communication across levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required.
• Ability to integrate diverse scientific disciplines.
• Experience designing meaningful experiments and analyzing results with statistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of chemistry, microfluidics, and production processes to troubleshoot deviations.
• Plan and execute experiments, record details, analyze data, and present results.
• Write protocols, develop procedures, and maintain records.
• Communicate results clearly and contribute to design decisions.
• Travel up to 10% internationally may be required.
