Job summary

Amgen Inc. is seeking a Process Development Associate Scientist to advance cell culture and purification processes for recombinant proteins, enhancing yield and robustness.

You’ll work in a collaborative, science-driven environment, transferring processes to manufacturing and contributing to regulatory submissions. The role requires hands-on lab experience in cell culture or purification, strong data analysis, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on lab experience in cell culture or protein purification.
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Experience with DoE and statistics is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop cell culture and purification processes for recombinant proteins to improve production yields.
• Collaborate in a team to support drug substance process development.
• Conduct mammalian cell culture experiments in shake flasks and bioreactors.
• Perform purification experiments (filtration and chromatography) at bench and pilot scales.
• Document data in lab notebooks and present findings to the team.
• Author technical reports and support regulatory filings as needed.
