Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company is looking for a Process Development Engineer in Kingsport, TN. This role involves supporting product development of Biodegradables products and requires extensive experience in polymer formulation. You will lead scaling processes, develop standards, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a BS in a relevant field and 10+ years of experience. The salary range is $112-154k and includes comprehensive health benefits and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in compounding and formulating polymers.
• Ability to translate end-use requirements to compounded product concepts.
• Experience in scaling small-scale processes to plant-scale equipment.

Responsibilities

• Scale up existing products in the Biodegradables Technology product portfolio.
• Develop SOPs, documentation, and best practices for compounded product production.
• Coordinate analytical testing for process improvement projects.
