Job summary

Hexion is seeking a Process Controls and Automation Manager to lead a global COE, driving standardization and reliability of SIS, PLC, DCS across the manufacturing network. You will remain hands-on in design, programming, and troubleshooting while directing a distributed team.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in industrial controls, strong Rockwell and DeltaV capabilities, and proven leadership in multi-site environments with a focus on safety, cybersecurity, and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

Ten or more years building, programming, and supporting industrial control systems.
Plant environment experience with controls technicians and instrumentation techs.
Leadership of engineers or technical specialists in a matrix or project setup.
Strong command of control system architecture and programming (Rockwell/DeltaV).
Knowledge of industrial networks and data security with IT collaboration.
Certified SIS calculation and ExSILentia preferred; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the Process Controls COE, setting priorities and ensuring regional site support.
Develop and maintain standards for instrument and control equipment and documentation.
Serve as SME for instrument and control activities, guiding stakeholders and leaders.
Design and specify equipment for capital and maintenance projects and lead project teams.
Manage SIS, DCS, and PLC reliability, upgrade programs, and downtime across sites.
Oversee OT network architecture and plant cybersecurity alignment with reliability goals.
Lead hands-on development for Rockwell PLC and Emerson DeltaV networks; reviewer of changes.
Cultivate a remote, multi-site team culture with a focus on inclusion and safety.
