Job summary

Hexion Inc. is seeking a senior Process Controls professional to advance control assets and improve performance across the Americas. You will guide a team, define standards, and interface with manufacturing networks to apply cutting edge technologies and data analysis.

The role focuses on developing new applications, improving DCS reliability, and documenting control system protocols while collaborating with remote sites and management to troubleshoot incidents and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• BS in chemical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in process controls or automation.
• Strong technical writing, organization and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of control system architecture and programming.
• Experience managing controls programs across multiple sites.
• Familiarity with industrial networks like Modbus, Fieldbus, and DeviceNet.

Responsibilities

• Design and document HMI and controls platform changes and interfaces.
• Develop/modify instruction code for PLCs (Allen Bradley/Emerson DeltaV) and related systems.
• Lead projects across remote sites; coordinate with project managers.
• Investigate new technologies, create testing protocols, validate viability for processes.
• Develop standards for control assets and document procedures.
• Support risk and safety instrumentation documentation and standards.
