Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC seeks a quality control technician to perform routine checks on raw materials, products, and production processes to ensure adherence to specifications.

The role requires strong math and analytical skills, experience with testing equipment, and the ability to interact with hourly and salaried personnel. Shift is 3:00pm-11:00pm; base pay is $41.27 per hour with benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• Engineering or science background desired.
• Industrial environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine daily quality control checks at all points in the production cycle to ensure final product specifications are met.
• Report variations and items out of specification to the production supervisor.
• Operate testing equipment and computer programs to accomplish necessary checks and calculations.
• Prepare and maintain quality control and process reports as required.
• Direct personnel to ensure compliance with company rules, policies and procedures.
• Assume temporary responsibility for the plant in the absence of a supervisor in the event of an emergency.
• Maintain lab equipment and good housekeeping within the color plant lab.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Function

Perform the necessary quality control checks and adjustments on raw materials, products and production processes to ensure quality products are produced.

Education/Experience/Knowledge

Education: High school diploma required.

shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm (flexible to work overtime and weekends)

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Hourly Rate: $41.27
