Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC is seeking a facility-support team member to assist in production and maintain plant housekeeping in our California facility. You will help keep the production areas clean, support operators, and participate in material handling as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in an industrial environment is preferred. Base pay includes benefits and a vacation package; eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Clean spillage around crushers, conveyors, and platforms.
• Perform general labor and plant cleanup.
• Haul fines or waste material to designated locations.
• Fill bulk bags or load flatbed trucks.
• Assist in staging the production process.
• Monitor and adjust a crusher for proper gapping.
• Operate plant when Operator is away for lunch or vacancy.
• Sample products and report out-of-spec material.

Job Summary

Essential Function

Assist and provide support services to the production process and perform duties associated with plant housekeeping.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean spillage around crushers, elevators, conveyors, work platforms, catwalks, etc.
• Perform general labor and cleanup duties throughout the plant
• May haul fines or waste material to designated locations
• May fill bulk bags and/or load flatbed trucks
• May assist in staging the production process
• May monitor and adjust a crusher for proper gapping
• Responsible for operating plant when Operator is at lunch or during unplanned vacancies
• Responsible for performing product sampling, and reporting out of specification material to Operator
• Responsible for quality of work and the safe operation of all tools/equipment under his/her control
• Responsible for good housekeeping and safety inspection of work area
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned

Core Competencies

• Demonstrated competency operating a forklift, bobcat
• Ability to operate/learn to operate a 10-wheel dump truck and water truck

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Previous experience in an industrial environment desired.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Hourly Rate: $32.31
