Specialty Granules LLC is seeking a first-line supervisor for our mining/manufacturing operations in the United States. The role requires 1–2 years of supervisory experience, knowledge of MSHA rules, and strong Lean/continuous improvement skills to lead safety, production, and cost goals.
The candidate will manage production personnel, coordinate with maintenance, develop staff, and drive SOPs and root cause analysis. A high school diploma is required; college or trade certification preferred.

Education: Minimum High School Graduate/GED Equivalent, College Degree and/or Trade Certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum (1-2) years supervisory experience in a mining/manufacturing operation.
Knowledge: Knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems in a mining/manufacturing operation.
Essential Function: Safely and economically produce quality artificial granules for SGI customers. Be a role model for safety, while driving a continuous improvement culture within your work group. Lead, manage and develop work skills of employees. Manage costs at the lowest possible level while producing the quantity and quality of granules on-time and according to the production plan. Lead and manage special projects involving coloring and employees. Build and coach cross functional teams for continuous improvement. Implement Lean Manufacturing and/or other Continuous Improvement and problem solving techniques.
