Job summary

Amazon in Mt. Juliet, TN seeks a Process Assistant to support Area Manager duties across Fulfillment Center areas. You will help manage daily department tasks, allocate labor, lead meetings, assign roles, and communicate with internal and external partners.

You will also train associates, verify SOP compliance, monitor performance, and contribute to safety initiatives while supporting production goals and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Flexible schedule to include weekends, nights, or holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand for long shifts.
  • 40 hours per week with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Track ATS/labor hours and assist in production duties as needed.

Description

The Process Assistant is assigned to the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to the different Fulfillment Center areas.

Key Job Elements
  • Support and work in the department as required
  • Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers
  • Providing vacation coverage for Area Managers
  • Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
  • Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours
  • Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
  • Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
  • Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
  • Filling in as needed with production duties
  • Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
  • Reviewing and updating SOP as required
  • Assisting in keeping work area clean and organized
  • Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
  • Coaching associates to work safely at all times
  • Participating in safety initiatives
  • Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager
Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
  • High school or equivalent
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or experience in employee and performance management
  • Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in problem solving and delivering results
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Process
  • Knowledge of project and product quality tools like Six Sigma or Lean operations
  • 1+ years of Problem Solve process path experience
  • Experience leading and influencing your team or organization

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
