Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside in Columbus, GA is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to assist in perioperative areas under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse. You will inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain operating room equipment and help prepare patients for procedures.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
• Inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain operating room equipment.
• Position patients and assist with patient preparation for procedures.
• Assist with case cart preparation as needed.

Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation. Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
