Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I for PRN weekday coverage to assist the perioperative team. You will perform patient and non-patient support under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse, helping maintain efficient operating room operations.

The role involves inventorying, cleaning, assembling equipment, positioning patients, preparing for procedures, and transporting patients as required, contributing to a safe, sanitary, and respectful care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s).
• Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure.
• If needed assists with case cart preparation.
• Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required.
• To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
