Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to join the perioperative team. You will perform a range of self-directed support activities to keep the operating rooms running safely and efficiently.

Under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse, you will inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble and maintain OR equipment, position patients, and assist with case cart preparation.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• BCLS Basic Life Support certification upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient and non-patient support in the perioperative area under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse to help ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling and maintaining operating room equipment; positioning patients; and assisting with case cart preparation as needed.

Responsibilities

The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation. Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
