Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to assist the perioperative team under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. You will perform self-directed tasks including inventorying, cleaning, disassembly and reassembly of operating room equipment, and patient preparation for procedures.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, assisting with case carts, and maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful OR environment to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• AHS BLS Certification.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE: The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation.

Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School Graduate or equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:N/A

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:AHS BLS Certification.
