Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to assist in the perioperative area. You will inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble and maintain operating room equipment, position patients, and prepare them for procedures. You will support the OR team and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Required BCLS certification at hire and a high school diploma or GED. This role emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and patient safety in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Inventorying, disassembling, cleaning and reassembling operating room equipment; maintaining OR equipment.
• Positioning patients and preparing them for procedures; assisting with case cart preparation as needed.

Responsibilities:

The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation. Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
