Job summary

WorkCare, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Injury Prevention Specialist and Wellness Coordinator to partner with physicians in preventing workplace injuries and promoting cardiovascular health, nutrition, stress management, and overall well-being.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Athletic Training and applicable state licensure, with DOT and CPR/AED certifications preferred. The position involves early schedule hours (Mon-Fri, 5:00am–1:30pm) and duties ranging from on-site first aid to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Board-certified athletic trainer (NATABOC) in good standing.
• Current license to practice as a health care provider where applicable.
• CPR/AED instructor certification available on request.
• DOT Drug & Alcohol Certification, if applicable to project.

Responsibilities

• Provides rapid first aid and medical care, including emergencies, during clinic hours.
• Occasional episodic care for minor issues and medical consultations.
• Coordinate care with WorkCare CMD and policies.
• Deliver evidence-based wellness promotion and injury prevention.
• Conduct ergonomic evaluations and job-specific agility programs.
• Assist with pre-employment, return-to-work, and fitness-for-duty assessments.
• Maintain communication with CMD and WorkCare supervisors.
• Support EAP referrals and case management when needed.
• Facilitate health screenings and wellness coaching sessions.
• Report clinic metrics and participate in emergency response activities.
• Maintain OSHA forms and clinic data, manage supplies.
• Participate in general clinic operations and client requests.
• Support DOT testing requirements as needed.
