Workcare Inc. in Lenexa, KS seeks an Athletic Trainer to deliver industrial injury prevention services focused on total worker health. Work follows OSHA first aid guidelines across regional service centers.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, with a January 4, 2027 start date. The position emphasizes triage, education, injury management coordination, ergonomic assessments, and lifestyle coaching to reduce musculoskeletal injuries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Must hold CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in orthopedics, wellness, industrial/occupational health, or ergonomic experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide triage, first-aid, education and/or escalation of care if needed.
• Facilitate ongoing communication with all parties involved in managing an injury case.
• Support the injured employee, monitor medical care, promote reporting, and participate in investigations.
• Assist in finding temporarily modified work within physical restrictions.
• Conduct ergonomic analyses and provide workstation and tool setup recommendations.
• Provide on-the-job education to improve body mechanics and health outcomes.
• Assist employees in lifestyle improvements in nutrition, fitness, and stress management.
• Maintain records of triage, ergonomic assessment, and education provided.
