Job summary

Stord in Atlanta seeks a Collections Specialist to own day-to-day collections for a large portfolio, working proactively to minimize delinquencies. You will partner with AR & Cash Operations and the Credit & Collection Manager to resolve disputes and ensure accurate records in NetSuite and related tools.

The role requires traveling to headquarters in Atlanta, GA, a proven track record in B2B collections, and strong communication skills to balance firmness with customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of B2B collections, AR, or credit experience
• Experience in logistics, distribution, or a high-volume account environment is a plus
• Clear, confident, professional communication and ability to hold a firm line without damaging relationships
• Working knowledge of NetSuite or a comparable ERP and quick learning of new tools
• Process mindset: document actions and identify fixes for workflow improvements

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day collections for an assigned segment of accounts, proactively ahead of due dates
• Conduct outreach by phone and email, log every touch for full coverage
• Track promises-to-pay, follow up on commitments, escalate high-risk accounts
• Collaborate with AR & Cash Operations on disputes, short-pays, and reconciliations
• Work within NetSuite and collections automation tools to manage queues, aging, and ownership
• Escalate accounts needing credit-limit review or third-party collections with documentation
• Contribute to metrics like DSO, contact coverage, and time-to-resolution on disputes
