Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, invites qualified candidates to join our urgent care team as an X-ray Technician and Medical Assistant PRN. You will perform imaging services, gather patient data, and support check-in/check-out in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license required in residency state.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening Certifications within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
