Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist II to perform standard and interventional sonography under radiologist supervision. The role emphasizes safety, quality improvement participation, and adherence to clinical guidelines.

Qualified candidates will have ARDMS/ARRT credentials, vascular registration, and at least one year of hospital sonography experience, including biopsies. PRN opportunity with comprehensive benefits and ongoing education support.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or Sonography program.
• Current ARDMS/ARRT registration in good standing.
• Registered in vascular and three of OB/Gyn, AB, BR, FE/PS or RVT.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year hospital sonography experience including biopsies.
• Able to perform sonography exams as ordered.
• Experience with radiology information systems.
• Excellent communication with patients and staff; able to stay calm in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Complete sonography procedures including routine and interventional studies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities.
• Comply with safety and infection control guidelines.
• Work under radiologist supervision following policies and procedures.
• Maintain required certifications and adhere to accrediting standards.
