Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across several South Florida facilities. The role emphasizes high-quality ultrasound exams, adherence to imaging standards, and effective communication with physicians and radiologists.

The position requires 1–2 years of ultrasound experience, ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification, and the ability to travel between locations. Flexible scheduling and per-diem shifts are typical.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Minimum certification: ARRT (S) and/or ARDMS.
• Valid driver’s license; CPR/BLS; ACLS where applicable.
• 1–2 years of ultrasound experience.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams per physician orders.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and adhere to policies.
• Use EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems for imaging and sharing.
• Communicate results and collaborate with radiologists and staff.
• Train and orient new technologists as needed; stay current with competencies.
• Cover at least one shift in 30 days and support coverage across sites.
