Job summary

SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital Midwest is seeking a per diem Surgical Technologist to support the Operating Room under RN supervision. You will prepare the OR, gather instruments, assist during procedures, and communicate patient information to the RN.

A formal surgical tech program is required, with no prior experience necessary. Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique, coordinating equipment and supplies, and ensuring timely, accurate documentation and teamwork to support

Qualifications

• Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Practices and implements the technical components of patient care under RN supervision.
• Collaborates with the RN and other health care professionals to implement a plan of care.
• Prepares equipment, supplies, and resources per the care plan and modifies as needed.
• Communicates accurately with the RN regarding patients in their care.
• Operates surgical equipment and instruments using aseptic technique.
• Documents quality controls according to unit standards.
• Maintains an organized work environment with effective prioritization.
