Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) in Fresno, CA. Evaluates and treats residents, communicates with families and health team members, and maintains documentation in medical records. Provides in-services and training for facility staff as needed.

Responsibilities include developing and updating treatment plans, supervising CFY or students, and ensuring compliance with state licensure requirements and payer policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
• Experience documenting in medical records
• Supervision of CFY or students as per state rules

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehab potential.
• Develop, implement and update individualized treatment plans.
• Educate residents, families and caregivers on goals and home programs.
• Maintain timely, accurate, compliant documentation in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing and rehab teams on progress and discharge planning.
