Job summary

Katy Endoscopy Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN PACU RN to join our ambulatory surgery team. You will care for postoperative patients, monitor vitals, manage airways, and ensure discharge readiness.

Qualifications include ADN or RN diploma or higher, 1+ year PACU/ICU/surgery experience, active RN license, BCLS, ACLS within 30 days, and PALS if required. We offer comprehensive benefits and retirement resources.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher in Nursing required.
• 1+ year of nursing experience in PACU/ICU/surgery preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• BCLS certification required; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS required within 30 days if facility requires it.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' care area and ensure equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients per policy (vital signs, temp, cardiac, etc.).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and operative sites and report abnormalities.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
