Job summary

Medical Center Endoscopy - Houston seeks a Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse to provide peri-operative patient care in an ambulatory surgical center. Under supervision, you will participate in assessments, planning and evaluation, ensuring regulatory standards are met.

Requirements include MO RN license, CPR/ACLS/PALS within 60 days, and at least two years in ICU/ER/Recovery. Competitive benefits and a team-oriented environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved nursing program with active Missouri RN license.
• Minimum two years of experience in ICU/ER/Recovery or other critical care nursing.
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification required within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide peri-operative patient care in ambulatory surgical setting.
• Direct and supervise ancillary personnel in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating care.
• Review daily schedule and prepare patient care areas for procedures.
• Communicate changes in status to physicians, family, and staff.
• Complete and document pre-operative interviews and post-anesthesia records.
