Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to support day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm. The nurse will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and advocate for patients and families, following established nursing models.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, TX RN license or compact license, and either an Associate’s Degree or BSN within 24 months. BLS is required; ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Associate's Degree required; BSN within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each shift; identify and report changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and document care in the medical record.
• Provide timely, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
