Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN day shift (7:00am - 7:00pm) to support patient care and staffing. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and positive outcomes.

You’ll educate patients and families, document thoroughly, and follow established nursing models while upholding the organization’s values and commitment to exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Associate's Degree required, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
• BLS, Basic Cardiac Life Support, required and issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer and issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and document care in the patient’s medical record.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipating needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
