Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty to support nursing students in OB and perinatal care. This PRN position requires travel within the Colorado Springs area to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs.

Pay is $60/hour for day clinicals, $70/hour for night clinicals, and $50/hour for labs (labs have no grading requirements). BSN is required; MSN preferred with enrollment in MSN Leadership or MSN Education program upon hire.

Qualifications

• MSN preferred; BSN is required.
• BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in a graduate program or approved national certification related to the content area being taught.
• Minimum of 2 years' OB nursing experience with an MSN
• An active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state RN license (compact)
• Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach OB nursing knowledge and skills to pre-licensure students
• Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward objectives
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs
• Stay current with trends in nursing practice and education
• Maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements
• Uphold nursing tenets and university mission
• Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance
• Support the university program in alignment with its philosophy and community service
• Provide positive example by upholding the University's Doctrinal and Ethical statements
