Qualifications

• MSN preferred; BSN required. BSNs must enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program immediately on hire, funded by GCU, OR BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 graduate classes or national certification.
• Minimum of 2 years' recent work experience in pediatrics nursing with an MSN.
• Active, current, unencumbered RN license valid in multiple states.
• Must pass a drug test and competency testing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach the knowledge and skills for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content-area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
• Maintain current with trends in nursing practice and program accreditation requirements.
• Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance during rotations and labs.
• Support the university program in alignment with the institution's philosophy and mission.
