Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to support our 9-bed inpatient unit. You will coordinate and provide patient care under the Director's guidance, focusing on pediatric patients from birth to 17 years and engaging families in the care process.

This role offers PRN scheduling with options ranging from 3 shifts a month to 3 shifts a week, with compensation varying by commitment level.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as an RN in state(s) of practice or compact license.
• BLS required on hire; PALS, ACLS, ENPC within 6 months; TNCC within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide patient care for pediatric patients; adherence to hospital policies and standards.
• Build connections with children and families in the 9-bed inpatient pediatric unit.
• PRN schedule with shifts per month or per week; care delivery in a flexible, responsive manner.

Education

RN license in Kansas or compact

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Under the general direction of the Director, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards. Pediatric patients between birth through 17 years of age.

• PRN Schedule: PRN options ranging from 3 shifts a month to 3 shifts a week; rates differ based on commitment level.

What qualifications you will need

• Graduate of school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• BLS (American Heart Association) on hire PALS, ACLS, and ENPC certifications within 6 months of hire TNCC certification within 12 months of hire.
• Previous clinical experience in area of specialty preferred; One (1) year nursing experience required.
