Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby unit to provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

You will work nights on a rotating schedule (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) across 3 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Director. BSN preferred; active RN license; BLS; NRP within 6 months; specialty certs encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice and/or holds an active compact license.
• Ability to achieve and maintain BLS; NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Professional certification in specialty practice area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.
• Provide therapeutic and administrative services for patient care in support of the hospital mission.
• Care for mothers and newborns in the Mother Baby unit in a high-acuity, high-volume setting.
• Support compassionate couplet care for mothers and newborns in a dynamic environment.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.

The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

The Registered Nurse Mother Baby unit cares for women of childbearing age and newborns.

Our fast-paced, high-acuity, and high-volume Mother Baby unit allows you to provide compassionate couplet care to mothers and newborns in a dynamic, collaborative environment with complex cases and rewarding outcomes.

FULL-TIME NIGHTS SCHEDULE: (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) 3 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Ability to achieve and maintain BLS. NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
