Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Kansas is hiring a Registered Nurse for Inpatient Pediatrics. You will coordinate and provide nursing care for newborns through 17-year-olds, under the direction of the Unit Director.

Schedule: Full-time Nights (7pm-7am) with rotating weekends, in a close-knit team with growth opportunities into NICU. The role requires BSN, current RN license in the state, BLS, PALS, ACLS, ENPC within 6 months, and TNCC within 12 months, plus at least one year of

Qualifications

  • Graduate of school of nursing required.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
  • BLS, PALS, ACLS, ENPC certifications within 6 months of hire; TNCC within 12 months of hire.
  • 1 year (minimum) experience required. Previous clinical experience in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide patient care under the general direction of the Director.
  • Nursing care provided in accordance with hospital policies and standards; care for pediatric patients birth through 17 years of age.

Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Under the general direction of the Director, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards. Pediatric patients between birth through 17 years of age.
  • Schedule: Full-time Nights (7p-7a) plus rotating weekends.
  • Unit: close-knit, collaborative environment; skill growth opportunities leading into NICU; supportive leadership.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Graduate of school of nursing required. BSN required.

  • BLS (American Heart Association) on hire PALS, ACLS, and ENPC certifications within 6 months of hire TNCC certification within 12 months of hire

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center.
