Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. This part-time, onsite role typically schedules 8–16 hours per week and focuses on assessing nutritional needs and implementing interventions to optimize patient nutrition and quality of life.

You will work with the healthcare team, comply with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team.
• Assess nutritional needs of patients/residents and initiate interventions to achieve nutritional status.
• Ensure compliance with standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement programs.
