Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. This onsite, part-time role focuses on identifying nutritional needs and delivering interventions to support patients and residents.

You will assess nutritional status, educate patients and staff, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in a hospital food-service setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nutrition (or related field).
Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
Passes national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or meets eligibility requirements.
Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
Licensed or certified per state requirements.
Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures, policies, and problem-solve related to dining and nutrition.
Contribute to continuous quality improvement programs.
