Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join its healthcare team in Cortland Manor, NY. You will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions, and support quality of life goals consistent with care plans.

The position typically schedules 8–16 hours per month, with potential for additional weekday, weekend, or vacation coverage on an as-needed basis. You will collaborate with the health care team to provide nutrition education and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of CE every five years.
• Licensed or certified as required by state.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
