Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Cortland Manor, NY. The role includes assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and supporting quality of life for patients/residents.

Schedule typically 8–16 hours per month, with potential for additional weekday, weekend, or vacation coverage. The candidate will educate the care team, adhere to practice standards, collaborate across departments, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Pre-2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passes the national examination by the CDR or is eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
